SC Scholastic Chess would like to spotlight the careers and achievements of chess talent we have throughout our state.  If you know of more, let's add their name too!!  See below for interview questions for player, team & club.  Pictures are best in JPG format 200x200.

 

"MICHAEL LAURIA: South Carolina's Newest Expert!!! The National High School Chess Championships were held in Columbus, Ohio, April 16-18 (2010). Two-time South Carolina High School Champion Michael Lauria...achieved a post-tournament rating of USCF Chess Expert (2031). This is the highest rating ever achieved by a South Carolina player while still in high school."
